In 4th grade, I dressed up as pastrami.
Not without a good reason of course. With my first big creative deadline (Halloween) approaching, my young conceptual mind saw 3 things right in front of me that I couldn't ignore.
An idea, a Jewish grandmother who could sew, and a new-found fear of missing an opportunity to be creative.
So, when I was 9 years old, I dressed up as Pastrami "on Rye." You know, as most young girls do.
I have always been a boundary-pushing, laughter-inducing, idea-spinning, mayo-eating force of nature.
That's my subtle "I like mayo" disclaimer. Ok fine I love it,  get off my back  jeez!
Moral of the story: I would never design something without a clever and strategic concept behind it  and I would never get a costume from Party City.
